The Koda family began growing rice in Dos Palos, California in 1928. Methodically and with an intense focus on quality and sustainability the family has developed an Heirloom variety of Natural Brown rice. Koda Farm’s Natural Brown rice is USDA Certified Organic, GMO free, Gluten-free, certified Kosher. Cold storage is recommended for best shelf-life and quality, although it is not necessary. Whole Grain Brown rice are rice kernels without their hulls. The coloring of brown rice is due to the nutritionally rich layer of bran which possesses natural soluble fiber, trace amount of minerals, vitamins, and oils. Cooked brown rice has a chewy texture and subtle nutty flavor.
