Description/Taste
Giant White corn is traditionally toasted and browned in oil and butter to create a salty, crunchy nut-like snack. Giant White corn kernels are slightly yellow-white in color and a soft firm texture when cooked. The kernels are typically 1 and ½ centimeters in both width and length. Ground kernels can also be used for products such as corn meal, corn starch, masa harina and corn flour. Giant White corn is most often soaked overnight and simmered for 2 – 3 hours until corn bursts open when used in soups or stews.
