Description/Taste
A type of pasta cut into sheets and sometimes rippled on the edges. Lasagna is also a dish made with alternate layers of pasta, cheese and frequently a meat sauce or tomato sauce. Although lasagna sheets are sometimes rippled, in Northern Italy the sheets are seldom rippled. The word "lasagna" originally referred to a cooking pot.
