Pacific Rim’s Prickly Pear Puree is created from prickly pears sourced directly from Mexico and is of the cardona variety, which is a cultivar known for its soft seeds and purple-pink flesh. Utilizing whole fruits with minimal processing, Prickly Pear Puree is comprised of true, natural flavors and essential oils, and does not contain artificial colorings, flavorings, or preservatives. Prickly pears have a mildly tropical, floral aroma and a sweet-tart flavor with notes of watermelon, maraschino cherry, honeydew melon, banana, strawberry, and fig. Prickly Pear Puree is suitable for use in both sweet and savory applications, including but not limited to beverages, desserts, baked goods, and sauces.
