Description/Taste
Windrose Farm is a 50-acre, family-owned farm located near Paso Robles. The farm combines vegetable crop rotation, a fruit orchard, and heritage breed livestock to create a sustainable farming model. The Spencer family has been dedicated to growing flavorful, healthy, and sustainable fruits and vegetables for over thirty years. Leek blossoms are white or light pink flowers that bloom among the thin leaves of leeks and give off an oniony-garlic scent. The flowers are star-shaped and measure approximately a half inch across. They taste slightly more pungent than the leaves, with a flavor that deepens as the seed develops.
