J. R. Organics is a family owned and operated farm located in San Diego County. The farm was established in the 1950’s and has been certified organic since 1986. The fertile land of Valley Center, CA combined with sustainable farming practices produces a wide variety of flavorful fruits and vegetables. Round Purple radishes have skin that is smooth, taut, and thin, showcasing vibrant hues of violet, burgundy, to purple-pink. Underneath the surface, the translucent white flesh is dense, aqueous, and firm with a crisp and crunchy, snap-like consistency. Round Purple radishes have a semi-sweet, subtly peppery, and mild flavor when raw, that mellows in flavor when cooked, developing a neutral, savory-sweet flavor.
