Description/Taste
Baked beans are prepared beans that are seasoned with brown sugar, liquid smoke, cured bacon and other spices. It is believed that baked beans were first a Native American dish in which maple syrup and fat were cooked with the beans. Baked beans have a sweet and savory flavor and can be eaten as a side dish or added to soups, stews and other dishes.
