Description/Taste
Scabiosa flowers are small to medium flowers, measuring approximately 3 to 5 centimeters in diameter, consisting of two layers of thin, tear-drop-shaped petals forming a rounded shape. The center of the flower displays many smaller petals interspersed with long slim pistols that reach far above the flower. Scabiosa flowers have a rich lavender hue that deepens at the ends of the petals. They have a fresh, perfumy aroma and a floral flavor with earthy and bitter nuances.
