Description/Taste
Hummus is characterized as a dip or a spread that is a staple of Middle Eastern and Indian cuisine. Meaning "chickpea" in Arabic, hummas is made from crushed or mashed garbanzo beans. Original hummas is made from lemon juice, fresh garlic, sea salt and sesame Tahini. Hummus can be used as a spread on sandwiches or as a dip for crackers and vegetables.
