Description/Taste
Coming from a Turkish word meaning to thicken, yogurt was first made from different animal’s milk that was fermented. Yogurt dates back as far as 5,000 years ago in the Mesopotamia region and was most likely made by accident. Described as being mildly tart and thick yogurt provides a rich source of calcium, protein, riboflavin and vitamins B-6 and B-12.
Plain yogurt maintains its natural flavor lacking any additional flavoring or preservatives and can be eaten as a healthy snack. This yogurt is Kosher-certified, low in fat and contains 9 grams of protein per cup.
