Description/Taste
Semolina flour is produced from the hard durum of the wheat plant and then is ground into a powder form. This flour is light yellow in color, high in gluten and protein. Semolina flour is often used in Italian cuisine, specifically in pasta and bread. This flour can be used in place of all-purpose flour. Semolina flour can also be used as a thickening agent for sauces, soups, puddings and desserts.
