Description/Taste
Sherry cooking wine originated in southern Spain and is a blended wine. It is produced from a natural fermentation process with the addition of wine yeast. Sherry cooking wine is considered a fortified wine that has other alcoholic spirits added thus increasing the alcohol content. Sherry cooking wine is classically used in tomato-based sauces, marinades or for basting.
