Description/Taste
Chipotle pepper is a dried version of the red Jalapeno pepper. It is referred to as "Moritas" in Spanish. This pepper originated in northern Mexico and was used by the Aztec civilization. These peppers have a smoky rich flavor and are commonly used in Mexican and Central American cuisines. Chipotle pepper can add a smoky flavor to tomato sauce, beans, rice and salsas.
