Nacho cheese sauce has an interesting history and was first made in 1943. This sauce was first served to army wives by a chef at the Victory Club in Piedras Negras, Mexico. The sauce got its name from Igancio's nickname "nacho." Nacho cheese sauce is a creamy Cheddar cheese sauce made with Jalapeno peppers. Nacho cheese sauce is served over tortilla chips or used as a dipping sauce.
