Fleur de Sel is also known as the "flower of salt." It is given this name because when the salt is collected it makes a flower like pattern on the surface of the water. This salt can be described as fine and consists of very small crystals. Fleur de Sel has a high concentration of minerals and has a delicate flavor. This salt has a high moisture content and dissolves easily on the palette.
