Description/Taste
Canned chili sauce is made from fresh red whole tomatoes with only the skins removed. This chili sauce is tomato based and has a thick somewhat pasty texture. Often made into a food competition, the first chili cook-off took place in 1967 in Terilingua, Texas. This sauce is great to use in chilies, sauces, soups, stews and other dishes.
