Sel Gris also known as "Celtic sea salt" or "Gray sea salt," is produced from salt ponds in Guérande, France. This salt has a flaky consistency and has a larger grain size than Fleur de Sel. Sel Gris has a high moisture content which makes the salt grain easy to dissolve. Sel Gris has a natural flavor and light gray color, due to the high mineral content.
