Description/Taste
The Garbanzo bean is considered an ancient crop which is thought to have originated in the Middle East. The Garbanzo beans can be divided into two main categories: kabuli and desi. Commonly referred to as the "chickpea" Garbanzo beans are small, round and are cream colored. Dried Garbanzo beans are the main ingredient in hummus and can be added to salads, soups, stews and many other dishes.
