Description/Taste
Is an herb from a perennial plant that is described as having a sweet and piney flavor. Similar to the herb oregano, marjoram is native to the Mediterranean region and is a member of the mint family. Historically, the Greeks and Romans considered marjoram as a symbol of happiness and were even cultivated in ancient times for its fragrant scent. Blending well with other herbs marjoram pairs well with lamb, veal, other meats as well as soups.
