The Garbanzo bean is commonly referred to as the “chickpea" and is native to the Middle East. The Garbanzo bean can be considered to be an ancient vegetable, which was used by the Greek and Roman civilizations. The frozen Garbanzo bean comes already shelled, are small in size with a cream outer covering. Frozen Garbanzo beans take little to no time to prepare and can be added to a variety of dishes. Garbanzo beans can be used to make hummus, in bean or green salads, enjoyed as a snack or added to soups, stews and dips.
