Description/Taste
Forno Candy beets reveal red and white flesh, thus this variety's descriptive name. While the beet root is sweet and earthy in flavor, the edible beet greens taste somewhat like spinach but are sweeter and hardier.

The entire beet plant is edible, including the delicious beet greens. Some beets are actually grown just for the tasty greens which are actually what we know as Swiss chard. Candy, white and gold beets do not bleed during cooking. The more intense the beet color, the more intense the flavor. Red beets have a richer flavor than any of the other beet varieties.
