The stems are long, slender, and pliable, bearing a crisp, succulent, and slightly aqueous consistency and the leaves have a cordate, curved shape with a flat, smooth, and delicate nature. There are several varieties of Kaiware sprouts that are often sold with their white roots intact, and the brown, round to oval seed shells are usually found between the roots.
