Micro Chinese Kale is comprised of 1 to 2 small heart-shaped leaves attached to a narrow stem. Each leaf has a broad and flat appearance with rounded, curved edges. The green leaves are also smooth and pliable, sometimes featuring a prominent vein along the leaf’s center. Micro Chinese Kale has a crisp, succulent mouthfeel with a tender consistency, and the stems also provide added texture with their lightly crunchy, slender nature. Micro Chinese Kale is consumed fresh and contains concentrated herbal, earthy, and vegetal flavors with mild, peppery, nutty, and slightly bitter nuances.
