Description/Taste
Ohrin apples are oblong in shape. They have yellow-green skins with white lenticels, and yellow-white flesh; sometimes the skin also has a red blush. They are very juicy and firm. The flavor reminds some of pineapple, pear, and honey. They are primarily sweet, with minimal tartness. Ohrins are a particularly aromatic apple as well, and smell just as good as they taste.

Ohrin apples (Malus domestica) are a popular Japanese variety, also sometimes spelled Orin. The Ohrin is a cross between the Indo and Golden Delicious, the same as the well-known Mutsu.

Geography/History
The first Ohrins were bred in Aomori Japan, and were introduced in 1952. They are mostly grown today in Japan, but are also grown commercially in British Colombia, Canada.
