Black Splendor plum has a deep blue-black skin and beet-red flesh. It is a larger than average plum and typically an early ripening plum. It is a clingstone variety, meaning that the central pit does not cleanly separate away from the flesh. The fruit is extremely juicy and is moderately tart but balanced by rich sweet flavors.
The Black Splendor plum is available late spring and summer.
