Pea flowers are comprised of one to two blossoms attached to a hollow stem, hanging down in a bell shape. The blossoms come in a variety of colors, including white, yellow, fuchsia, lavender, and deep purple, and feature two deeply veined petals creating a hood over two smaller and more delicate petals that close around the flower's stamen. Pea flowers emit a light, fresh aroma and have a crisp, slightly crunchy consistency.
