Guinea eggs are brown-spotted eggs produced by the guinea fowl. Guinea eggs are slightly smaller than chicken eggs with a pointed tip on one end. The yolk has a deep golden-orange color and has a rich creamy flavor. Two Guinea eggs may be substituted for one large chicken egg when used for cooking.
Guineau Hen Eggs are laid year-round with gaps in availability due to temperature and length of daylight.
Guinea eggs are eggs from the Guinea fowl also known as the pet speckled hen, original fowl or guinea hen. Unlike chickens, guinea fowls prefer to nest on the ground instead of nesting boxes and will hide their nests to protect their eggs. Eggs will take between 26-28 days to hatch.
