Description/Taste
Lemongrass is classified as a perennial grass that can grow up to 3 feet tall with a solid base stalk and thin leaves at the top of the grass. Lemongrass is white in color at the base and gradually turns into a light yellow-green color at the top of the bunch. The outer layer of the Lemongrass stalk is hairless, has a smooth texture and offers an acidic lemon flavor with sweet grassy undertones. Lemongrass is very aromatic and widely used in Asian cuisine and also as a medicinal herb in India.
