The Shinko Asian pear has a very round shape with a flattened top and is considered to be a large variety. The outer skin of the Shinko Asian pear is a golden brown color that has small white dots layering the skin called lenticels. Considered to be a mid-season pear, the Shinko Asian pear offers a mildly sweet flavor with a juicy and crisp texture.
