Description/Taste
The Flavora plum’s deep red skin is taut and thin, clinging tightly to the fruit's flesh. It has rich and satisfying flavors of cherry and pomegranate with hints of banana. The magenta flesh is juicy and sweet with a moderately low acid content.

Current Facts
The Flavora plum is actually a hybrid of a plum and an apricot known as a pluot or plumcot. It is a registered trademark name given to a stonefruit that was developed by Floyd Zaiger of Zaiger Genetics in 1989, when he first bred a plum with an apricot. There are dozens of pluot cultivars including Dapple, Hand grenade, Flavor Fall, the Dinosaur Egg and the supreme variety, Flavor King. These Flavora plums are grown by Murray Family Farms in Bakersfield, CA.
