Description/Taste
The Minneloa is unique in shape, almost pear-like with a pronounced protrusion at its stem-end. Its smooth yet pitted and oily rind is deep red-orange, signaling to its parentage. Its flesh is fragmented and can bear anywhere from zero seeds to over a dozen. It is aromatic, juicy, rich and sweet tart.

The Minneola tangelo, also called the Honeybell, is a variation of citrus fruit known botanically as Citrus tangelo. The Minneola tangelo is the only citrus of its kind. It is half Duncan grapefruit and half Dancy tangerine. It is not an optimal self-fruiter, thus it should be planted in close proximity with other pollinating cultivars to bear productive yields. Cross pollination has its side effects though, inevitably the fruits will bear multiple seeds.
