Description/Taste
Tequila peppers average 10 to 15 centimeters in length and have the same rounded boxy appearance of a bell pepper with more of an oblong shape. They have an outer purple skin with a green interior. They are sweet like a bell pepper but have slightly thinner walls with a lower water content.

Tequila peppers are available year-round with peak season in the summer and fall.

Tequila peppers are a sweet bell pepper variety of Capsicum annuum with distinct purple coloration. A pigment called anthocyanin produces their dark, inky color and also contains antioxidant properties.
