Green chard, also known as Swiss chard, is a leafy vegetable that has robust sized leaves that are a vivid green. Named after the Swiss botanist that classified the vegetable, Green chard has a central stalk that gives rise to large, slightly wrinkled leaves. Green chard offers a mild green flavor, with a tender texture.
