Description/Taste
The Apple melon weighs approximately 1 - 1.5 kg and has an overall round shape with a gently flattened bottom. Its smooth skin is white with a pale greenish-yellow tint. The interior flesh has a rich water content and firm texture that surrounds a central seed bank. The Apple melon has an aromatic floral scent and a refreshing sweet flavor that is more melon than cucumber.

The Apple melon may also be referred to as Melon Apel, Timun Apel, or Cucumber Apple. It is the result of cross-breeding apple cucumber (Cucumis sativus) and cucumber melon (Cucumis melo). The Apple melon is an obscure fruit rarely found outside of India, Indonesia and the surrounding area.
