Description/Taste
The Garden of... grows high-quality vegetables in the fertile soil of the Santa Ynez Valley, where warm California days combine with cool, moist nights created by air from the nearby Pacific Ocean. Shu and Debby Takikawa combine generational knowledge and farm apprenticeship experience to grow high-quality, flavorful lettuces, cabbages, carrots, and other vegetables. Treviso is known for its crunchy, succulent, and fleshy white stems, and the leaves are tender and crisp with a signature maroon, dark purple-red hue. The Garden of… Treviso has a milder taste than other chicory varieties with earthy, slightly bitter, and subtly sweet nuances.
