Geography/History
Locally grown at McGrath Family Farms in Camarillo, California. McGrath Family Farms has been growing exceptional produce since 1972. One hundred percent organic, this successful farm grows fifty to sixty-five different produce items on its thirty-five to fifty-four acres of fertile land. The popular garbanzo bean is a legume and a member of the Fabaceae family. Food historians say this bean is one of the earliest cultivated vegetables. In the Middle East, evidence of this bean's existence more than 7,500 years ago has been found.
