Estimated Inventory, bunch : 0
Description/Taste
Thumbelina carrots are distinguished by their non-tapering, roughly globular shape and petite size. At maturity they are only 1 1/2 to 2 inches in diameter, about the size of a golf ball. Their pumpkin orange skin is tender and requires no peeling. They are nearly coreless with an earthy flavor reminiscent of a mild beet with a slightly sweet finish. Their texture is firm and crunchy, almost woody in some cases. Ascending from the roots are thin, dill-like green foliage, which is equally edible, with herbaceous carrot and parsley undertones.
Seasons/Availability
The Thumbelina carrot is available year-round.
