The leaves range from elongated and smooth with a deep magenta hue to heart-shaped with rounded ends in shades of green and purple. The leaves are also attached to slender and crisp, pale green stems. Micro Spicy Mix™ has a clean and vegetal aroma and a sharp flavor, reminiscent of the bite of mustard and wasabi mixed with pleasant bitter undertones.
