Inventory, bunch : 0
The Mardi Gras radish mix includes three shades of radishes: white, yellow and purple. They are harvested when young and petite, offering a pleasant balance of sweetness and spice. The white radishes are the mildest and have the finest texture, while the purple variety is a bit earthier with more of a classic radish bite. The mix is sold with the stems and leaves intact which also offer a peppery bite.
Mardi Gras radishes are available in the spring and summer months.
The common radish is botanically classified as Raphanus sativus and is a member of the Brassicaceae or Cruciferae family. Mardi Gras is classified as a table or spring type radish, a category of radishes that are the most popular type on the market in the United States today. The Mardi Gras radish is actually a specialty seed blend of petite purple, yellow and white radish varieties.
