Cocktail grapefruits resemble larger grapefruits in appearance, with their light orange outer skin, however they are not a true grapefruit. Cocktail grapefruits are a hybrid between a pomelo and a mandarin. The Cocktail grapefruit has a thick skin and juicy inner flesh. This citrus variety offers a sweeter flavor than grapefruit with a slight tart aftertaste.
