Description/Taste
Salanova lettuce comes in many different varieties. Leaves may be flat or frilly, crisp, butterleaf, red or green. A single cut separates its leaves into numerous ready-to-eat leaves. Salanova is known to have three times more leaves than the standard lettuce head.
Seasons/Availability
Salanova lettuce is available year-round with a peak season in late winter and early spring.
Current Facts
Salanova was developed by a Dutch vegetable seed company, Rijk Zwaan. It is botanically known as Lactuca sativa and is also called Eazyleaf and Multileaf.
