Description/Taste
Banana squash are cylindrical in shape and can grow up to 1 meter long. Banana squash can weigh up to 35 pounds but most will average around 10 pounds. Depending on the variety they can be salmon pink, green, blue, or variegated in color. They have a thick rind with a firm, dense and meaty flesh with a true pumpkin orange color. Banana squash has a large seed cavity with few seeds inside. Cooked Banana squash is fragrant, rich with an earthy sweet flavor.
