Description/Taste
Honey Punch pluots are large round fruits with a deep red, speckled skin. The think skin is firm and clings tightly to the fruit's flesh. Its juicy golden flesh is streaked due to the color of its skin. The fruits are extremely sweet with a 19 Brix rating.

Honey Punch pluots is a hybrid of the plum (P. salicina) and apricot (P. armeniaca). It is a stonefruit developed and trademarked by Floyd Zaiger of Zaiger Genetics in 1989. Zaiger develops all of his hybrid fruits by hand pollination versus genetic modification.
