Red Poblano Chile Pepper
Inventory, lb : 0
Description/Taste
Red poblano chiles range from mild to hot heat levels. These peppers are elongated, heart shaped, and have a curved pod that is glossy and deep red to almost black in color. The thick flesh contains a cotton-textured membrane laden with small white seeds. Consumed raw, Red poblano peppers are spicy, earthy, rich and slightly acidic; while cooking the pepper brings out more smoky and savory undertones. This mature, fully ripened Red poblano chile has tendencies to display much more heat and flavor than the more common Green poblano.
Seasons/Availability
Red poblano chiles are available in late summer and fall months.
