Sapote
Estimated Inventory, lb : 0
Description/Taste
A sapote is thin skinned and delicate. Its fragility makes for easy bruising so picking a little lean vs. ripe is recommended as they do ripen quickly. Its skin reflects the color of a green or granny smith apple. The flesh is custard-like and mildly tropical; hints of bananas, pineapple and mango linger on the palate. If you have never indulged, and the season is ripe, it's time.
