The Sweet Dumpling squash is a small variety of squash, averaging about a pound each. Approximately 10 centimeters in diameter, this “single-serving”, teacup-shaped fruit has an ivory colored exterior with stripes of dark green. The inner flesh is bright orange and transforms into a sweet nutty treat when roasted. Its small size and minimal seed bank also makes its suitable for stuffing.

The Sweet Dumpling squash is a variety of Cucurbita pepo that is prized for its extraordinary sweentness. Its coloring resembles that of a Delicata squash, but in a pumpkin-shaped package. The sweet Dumplings usually come into season towards the beginning of fall and may be store for up to 4 months after harvest.
