Description/Taste
Japanese turnips, also known as Hakurei turnips, are small to medium sized globe-shaped roots. They have a thin white skin that does not need to be peeled away and offer a crisp texture when eaten raw. Japanese turnips are sweeter and milder in flavor than other varieties of turnips or radishes. The dark green tops are also edible.
Seasons/Availability
Japanese turnips are available year-round.
