There are also small, dark pink veins that branch across the surface of the leaf. Petite® Spinach Lilac™ is crisp and tender with a mild spinach flavor and a fresh green taste.
Petite® Spinach Lilac™ is available year-round.
Petite® Spinach Lilac™ are young, edible greens that are a part of a trademarked line of specialty plants grown by Fresh Origins Farm in San Diego, California. Designed to be slightly larger than microgreens, Petite® Spinach Lilac™ is harvested approximately 4-6 weeks after sowing and is commonly used by chefs as a garnish for its striking mix of lilac-pink tones, fresh flavor, and tender, crisp texture.
Petite® Spinach Lilac™ contains calcium, potassium, copper, vitamins A, C, and K, magnesium, iron, zinc, manganese, and phosphorus.

The greens can also be mixed into pasta and vegetable side dishes. Petite® Spinach Lilac™ pairs well with apples, figs, grapes, melons, pears, berries, avocadoes, citrus, tomatoes, asparagus, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, squash, garlic, leeks, potatoes, meats such as poultry, steak, lamb, and fish, shrimp, feta cheese, and nuts such as pecans, walnuts, and pine nuts. The greens will keep 7-10 days when stored unwashed, in a sealed container, and in the refrigerator.
