Description/Taste
Lime radishes have an elongated taproot that is two-toned in coloring with a vibrant lime green shoulder that fades into a cream colored point. Lime radishes have a thick skin that covers a green to creamy white flesh. They offer a firm crisp texture and exceptionally spicy radish flavor. They are best used sparingly or finely diced due to their pungent and peppery nature.

The Lime radish is available in the cooler months of spring and fall.
Current Facts
Lime radishes are an heirloom variety of Raphanus sativus and a member of the Brassicaceae family. They are a cool weather crop prized for their spicy root, but also offer edible greens. They are considerably hotter than the common red radish and have a firm texture that tales well to pickling.
